About Pettit Ceramics

The journey began in the vibrant heart of Dubai, where Gail Pettit was first inspired by world-class artists and teachers who helped shape her distinctive approach to clay. What started as a creative curiosity quickly evolved into a deep love of the language of clay.

Now based in her sunlit studio in Westmere, Auckland, Gail creates pieces that blend clean Scandinavian lines with the cool tones and textures of the New Zealand landscape. Her work is known for its quiet elegance - minimalist forms, soft glazes, and a grounded sense of place.

Pettit Ceramics are made by hand, with intention and care, designed to be lived with and loved. Whether it’s a simple cup or a pottery experience at one of the Atelier events.

We invite you to slow down, connect, and enjoy the beauty in everyday rituals.

Our Philosophy

To honour the work of the hand.

To create objects that invite touch, reveal the maker, and become part of everyday rituals.

To make and share things that bring joy.
