Private Events
Bring your people together for an experience that feels a little different.
From birthdays and hens’ celebrations to team gatherings and intimate get-togethers, our private ceramic workshops are designed to be relaxed, creative and fun.
Expect a few hours where phones are forgotten, hands meet clay and creativity takes centre stage. Whether you’re making your first pinch pot or your fiftieth mug, our studio is a welcoming space to slow down, connect and create something uniquely yours.
Private events can be hosted at your chosen venue. You provide the space, food and drinks, and we take care of everything pottery.
Before your class
Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit of clay on. Aprons will be provided. Long nails can make things tricky so give them a trim before you come.
During the class
You’ll be guided through a 2.5 hrs session introducing hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building. No experience necessary - just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process.
Finishing touches
Choose from a palette of contemporary underglaze colours or you may decide to decorate with texture. Your piece will then be professionally glazed and kiln fired at Pettit Ceramics.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for drying, bisque firing and finishing with a clear glaze firing. You’ll be notified by email when your pieces are ready for collection.
What you’ll make
You can choose between your own design or following a guided project. Examples of projects are cups, small jugs, cake stands, matcha bowls, platters and olive dishes.

Private workshops can be held at your chosen venue. This could be your home, workplace, hired space or another suitable location. You’ll provide the venue, we bring everything needed for the pottery experience.

You provide the venue, tables and chairs, food and drinks. We bring the clay, tools, equipment, materials and expert guidance.

Your work will be professionally dried, fired, glazed, and glaze-fired after the workshop. This process takes approximately 4–6 weeks. Once ready, your pieces will be available for collection. We will notify you via email and/or WhatsApp when your work is ready for pickup.

No experience is required. The workshop is designed for beginners and experienced makers alike. All materials, tools, clay, glazing, and firing are included. We’ll provide aprons and recommend wearing comfortable clothing.

For health and safety reasons, and out of consideration for other guests, we do not teach anyone who is intoxicated. All participants must arrive sober. As a last resort, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any intoxicated person, and no refund will be provided.

Private events are available for groups with minimum 8 people to maximum of 20 people.

Absolutely. We have creative and fun ideas for children and tween parties. We can discuss age appropriate projects and requirements when planning your event.
